Not a bad game
The Three Kingdoms aspect was the draw for me here. If you’re a fan of that era in video games, then you’ll enjoy this one. You also have to have a tolerance for old school 8bit titles, as this one definitely hits that spot, and isn’t the most polished game.

Great and Addicting.
This game reminds me a lot of Destiny of an Emperor NES in the old days, the music is outstanding a la 8-16 bit. Love the character potraits, and so many many generals to recruit all diferent when fighting. Have not finished yet but I am really hooked to this game. Boss battles are intense and you need to act wisely. Oh and the mighty Lu Bu 💪

Clearly Inspired Destiny of an Emperor
Been waiting for anything that resembles DOAE. If you loved that NES game (pt1 and 2) then this is a must buy. Combat is different in the sense of tile turn based combat but with good purpose behind the ideas (still has all out attack option). It has many aspects from the NES game! It is a bit of grind for XP and Gold. Lots of good stuff this game has to offer!

Decent for what it tries to accomplish
The Good: If you have nostalgia for retro type graphics/games than this hits the spot. It's a decent comparison to the Romancing series but not quite as polished or legendary.
The Bad: It's relatively amateurish. If you're looking for a nostalgia kick it's sufficient, otherwise it may not be a memorable experience.

Reminds me a bit of Destiny of an Emperor
I bought this game purely based on the grounds that it gave me very heavy vibes of an old NES RPG I played, Destiny of an Emperor. The game did not disappoint. While the graphics don't leave much to write home about, the story is amusing and paints the tale of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms well enough.

This game definitely does throw it back to a retro feel, which may not be for everyone. It was ideal for me. Make good enough choices with your unit selection and manage items well enough, and you'll get through this with relatively little problem.

My first playthrough was just shy of 28 hours.
